Design a Thriving Future
All of nature uses technology, if that means making things to help beings thrive. But not all technology helps the earth * its inhabitants to thrive. This class explores the consequences of our current tech design, and asks us to design so that all beings can thrive on a healthy planet.
This semester we’ll use Permaculture Ethics and Principles as a guide to evaluate and design tech that promotes Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. We will also put into practice the 12 Permaculture Principles as an eco-literate design guide for creating wealth for planet, people, and communities (but NOT for corporations/AI).
