The basic idea of my story follows an evil train that splits a valley in two. I’m going to kind of use the same location as my last project, the flood plains, because the train tracks are right next to it. I may also use some other locations close by because there are cool places along the tracks. For my “this, changes, because” I am going to explore how the land changes due to the train, also if I can get some videos of animals I might see if I can implement that into the video. A models I found that inspired me was “We Were The Scenery” by Christopher Radcliff, which is a short documentary about a couple who fled Vietnam during the war and arrive at a refugee camp in the Philippines were they become film extras in “Apocalypse Now”. As I was watching it really liked how the camera quality would change to represent past and present, something I might be able to utilize in my video. Maybe there is a before the train segment and an after the train segment where I change some of the aspects of the camera. For challenges I am a little worried that I might not be able to find a lot of variation in my shots, but I think I am going to really try to find some unique spots or angles that will make up for it.
