Location 1: The Old Town Park
This is a place that matters deeply to me in the area. I grew up in Old Town and spent many days at the park with my friends. During my freshmen year of high school, I met the girl who is now my fiancée. Our forming years were spent almost exclusively during the Covid-19 lockdown, so the only place that we could meet was outside at this park. After 6 years together, I proposed to her in the snow at the gazebo.
Location 2 The Beehive Trail
Growing up, I did Boy Scouts with my dad. We spent many weeks outdoors camping and being involved in events with our troop and the Katahdin area council. One of my absolute favorite trips we regularly did was camping at the Blackwoods Jamboree in Acadia. Every year, we hiked the Beehive trail, and every year it got easier for me as I got older. This past year, me and my friends from my patrol when we were younger went back to re-hike the trail by ourselves. It was one of the best trips I’ve ever gone on and I’m working on planning another trip to do it all again.
