Movie Concept:
The movie begins with clips of deer with parasites. The movie starts with a couple of kids talking about reincarnation, and there’s a theme of reincarnation throughout the beginning and middle of the film. The idea of the worm is that it’s a demon that replicates the personalities of loved ones that passed away, and when people pick it up, it can speak with them. Typically, people believe it’s really their loved one who passed away. So they bring it home and take care of it in an enclosure. However, at night, the worm crawls into the person’s ear and lays eggs. These eggs will eventually hatch within 2 to 3 days, and they will slowly eat the person inside out while also controlling them. The worm will then leave after it lays its eggs and find a new host. The story will follow 4 to 5 individuals and how they lose the person that the worm is replicating and what happens to them when they get controlled. Kids from the beginning are the person and their loved one.
This? A demon worm can imitate the personalities of dead loved ones, making people believe they can communicate with them again.
Changes? People who take the worms home to reconnect with their loved ones become hosts. The worms lay eggs in their ears, which hatch within two to three days and slowly eat them from the inside while controlling their bodies.
Because? People are desperate to reconnect with those they have lost, and their belief in reincarnation makes them vulnerable to the worms. Their grief causes them to ignore the danger until it is too late.
