For my story, I am thinking of filming a horror story that follows a girl (my friend) who goes crazy because weird things start happening in her life. The video is going to start with her looking into a mirror (it will be a shot of her standing in the bathroom, the camera in front of her; the mirror is not visible in the first shot), but when the shot flips to an over-the-shoulder shot, the reflection’s face will be different, and with the use of video editing, I will attempt to distort her face to the point where it bleeds into the uncanny valley. The location will likely be the dorm I live in, probably the basement, bathrooms, or our rooms. I am thinking she gets possessed by something in the mirror, but consistently acts off. I have a broken mirror in my garage. I could potentially get a shot of her throwing something at it and shattering it, since it is already broken. This story will technically be part of a larger series we have created in the past, but it will also function on its own. I could potentially mix this with my project one and do night shots of her wandering in the dark, empty campus. I might try to find different mirrors on campus if there are any. I want to try to get a creepy shot through my peephole. I will bring a flashlight and get POV shots with the flashlight, such as things moving behind the trees. A lot of my creative process happens while filming instead of beforehand, so this is mainly just an idea to loosely follow, since new ideas will likely come during filming. I will edit this in After Effects and Premiere Pro, where I will add color grading, music, effects, etc. Analog horror.
