These images are the best photos of my project so far. The locations are also great places around campus that I love to visit. The first main location is the Stillwater River. It’s a great place to relax, go for a swim, or kayak. It also encompasses a lot of what campus means to individuals in this town and actually allows the University of Maine to be on its own island. It is a very beautiful place all year round; for these reasons, I have decided to include it in my project.

The next location is The Littlefield Garden and the surrounding areas. Including the large field behind the astronomy center and the UMaine Woodmen’s Team practice area, about ten feet in the woods behind the garden. I love this area of campus and have explored it ever since I was a freshman and thought it deserved to be in this project. It is very beautiful all year round and has such an interesting vibe. Despite it being one of my favorite places, I rarely see anyone there and think it deserves more recognition.

The last place is the library, with stunning views of our campus sky. The University of Maine Library is a very common place for all students to visit, but I find myself only going to the very first few rooms and never really seeing more of it. The pictures of the bookshelves are from the very top floor of the library and offer a very cool perspective. The library also offers many cool things that are often unseen by students. They have a very large collection of old books and even have older newspaper viewing machines. If you have not been to all corners of the library, I suggest you do so.

  1. Jameson Coregon,

I really appreciate this work. My favorite photograph is definitely the diagonal photo that is aligned with the orientation of the word “umaine” on the bottomside of the log. Very creative perspective! And speaking of perspective, the library photograph is also very creative! Drawing out the idea of seeing things from new perspectives is something that I’ve always been very interested in the concept of, and I am very glad that you followed this concept for your project! Can’t wait to see what else you create.

    Thanks,
    Desstroyer
