Accomplishments:
At this part of my project, I made progress on more of my sections and added tons of new media to it. I added more story to ‘the people I met’ section, where I delved into more detail on my environment. I added a slider image of the home where I stayed. I love the slider for the clear transition it gives! A larger section I worked on is where I explain how culturally important food is to the people of Indonesia, and how it changed my own perspectives and attitudes I have towards food and the connection it gives to me and my own family. The final update I created was another sidecar. Here, I mostly spoke about the cultural shift the trip left on me when it came to assumptions and how I was able to deliver more kindness than anything to the others around me after returning home. For what’s left to accomplish, I need to finish two smaller sections on important landmarks that educated me and the small tidbit of me being in Indonesia for its 80th independence day, then finally, I will conclude what this journey overall brought me, how it calmed me down as a person, and brought me hope for my future.
