A meme of a baby with the words "Asked professor for leniency, received said leniency"What are “leniencies”?

Everyone has bad days—or weeks—so your instructors have decided to allow you to request certain kinds of leeway to help you catch up if you get behind:

☑️ Quizzes

You can request a reset for up to 2 quizzes for the entire term, at which point you can take them again.

⚠️ It’s tempting to reset early in the term, but you might want to wait until the last month because 1) a problem could arise that you can’t anticipate and 2) you’ll have most of the grades by then so can retake the worst quizzes.

📝 Tasks

You can always request that a late task be graded. You lose a point for every week it’s late, but after 3 weeks there’s no further penalty.

(You can also re-do a task for a better grade. Rather than add this request to the Class Sheet, just DM your TA in Slack to confirm.)

🗳️ Surveys

You can resubmit a late survey without penalty.

🗄️ Requesting a leniency

Your instructors can only grant leniencies if you add them to the Requests tab of our Class Sheet; you’ll find the link pinned to the top of our #reference channel. If you request a quiz reset, be sure to check back to confirm that your instructor has reset it, and then request a re-grade once you’ve completed it again.
