Introduction
Communicating with AI for generating images is different from generating text or code. This Task asks you to compare creating composite images with pre-AI tools (your output from Task 5) versus AI tools.
Process

- Choose the same hoax you picked for Task 4 (eg, from Wikipedia’s list of hoaxes).
- Using an AI image manipulation tool(s) like CollaborAITE, Gemini, or Leonardo.ai, create an original image that illustrates the hoax as if it were a real event, place, person, or phenomenon. You can start from scratch or upload one or more reference images to work from. You’re not restricted to just AI tools to make this hoax, but at a minimum you need to use them once.
- Create a post with a title like “Task 5: Mary Gonzalez” to your class website, making sure to add the Task 5 category.
- Add your final non-AI hoax image from Task 4 to the post (just for reference).
- Add your AI-generated image to the post as well as any additional source images you have have used.
- Add the following text in headings or bullets:
- A description of the hoax you are illustrating along with a link to the hoax on Wikipedia or another public website.
- The verbatim quote of a prompt that failed and why you think it did.
- The verbatim quote of a prompt that succeeded and why you think it did.
- A list of tools that you used and what they were used for (eg, “CollaborAITE to generate the initial image, Photopea to adjust the colors, Topaz to upscale the image”).
⚠️ Be sure to click the Update and/or Publish buttons to post your image and text.
