I would like to do either a video or multi=media video edit (audio + visual emphasis) as my medium. Or, some form of story board or timeline. I’m trying to think of another medium I’d like to do, but I am pretty set on trying to do some sort of video or audio/visual medium first and foremost. As far as story I’m not yet entirely decided. I have a couple rumblings of ideas. I’m interested in either focusing on the nature itself or labor and people that interact with the land, including aspects of both contrasted with one another. I.e. -> How the geography and natural resources create the local culture and how the culture then interacts with land.
I personally really enjoy contrast of the grittier, real aspects of life with the sort of surreal, wonderful aspects of our world and lives. I think farming, organized labor, social institutions of capital contrasted with utilization of natural resources is an excellent example of that. Especially in smaller, more insular and thoughtful local communities that still have levels of that “grit” but on a significantly healthier and more personal level.
