The setting. The world in which we find our hero struggling against both the enemy [[Fascist]] and the systemic enemy that exists outside of any one character in the dystopian nightmare.

The fascist leaders represent false ideals and a facade or [[Veneer]] of safety and benefit despite their obvious destruction and malice.

Not to make this religious at all but in the eyes of the regime of the [[Dystopia]] the rebels are considered to be in a similar position as Jesus and his band in the eyes of the Roman Empire. Their mission is morally ‘wrong’ under current social convention but potentially contains a new, effaceable mode.
he almost ethereal aura of the ‘heroes’ [[Rebels]] is what allows them to be seen as almost ‘supernatural’ or ‘blessed’ figures. They will not be religious; however, contrasting rational, progressive individuals raging against a system of authority
by alluding to traditional religious models.
In the same sense, the [[Fascist]] leaders who are seeking to be the true leader/answer for all can be compared to the truly oppressive nature of religion and control despite their goal and claims of peace, acceptance, and benefit for the people.

My Premise: My story is about a small group of freedom fighters [[Rebels]] operating underground against an oppressive, Orwellian dystopian [[Dystopia]] machine. One of the rebels is a [[Jesus-esque]] anti-hero.
The modern political entity of the dystopia is a fascist authoritarian oligarchy, controlling much of the modern earth. [[Fascist]]
Big Aspects: [[Setting + Aesthetic]]
Failing infrastructure, dying environment, scarce resources, competition is key but collaboration is the answer. The regime is not focused on you. Not focused on longevity but rather a race to the bottom trading our future for their luxuries.

The rebels represent a less obvious, but important hero despite their perceived malice and anger towards the world. They seek to fight to improve not to cause damage, showing their [[Veneer]]

Visual/Setting: Spongebob and Squidward in the future- It’s all chrome, metal, brutalist design and architecture.
On earth or in space- either on earth or as a colony in space. Failing infrastructure, dying environment, scarce resources, competition is key but collaboration is the answer.
