The Opening Image-The opening image was of Ashitaka protecting his people and village.
Everyday Life-During scenes in the village we learn that Ashitaka is a very skilled warrior but also the prince of the small village.
Displaying The Theme-After killing the boar the wise lady sets the theme for the whole movie by telling Ashitaka that there is a great evil that he must find to get rid of the curse.
Enter The Disruption- At this point in the movie Ashitaka learns that he is cursed and is banished from the village. His entire life changes in this one scene.
The Debate- In this scene the debate comes from the elders also in the room discussing if its the right thing for Ashitaka to leave the village and cut his hair.
Departing Into A New World- Ashitaka leaves the village and ends up involving himself into a battle and latter on finding himself at Iron town
Mentor-The great forest spirit is the mentor in this story, in this scene the spirit is saving Ashitaka from dying. The spirit is basically telling him that his journey is not over.
Enemies- Lady Iboshi is still considered the main enemy since she has been hired to kill the great forest spirit.
Closing In- The great forest spirit closes in on the wolf and the boar to let them pass on from this life, and while in the bushes lady Iboshi and co. are waiting to shoot of the head of the spirit.
The Darkest Hour- The great forest spirits head has been shot off which then turns into the nightwalker. It is searching for it’s head while also destroying everything in its way.
The Final Showdown-While fighting for the great forest spirit’s head, Ashitaka and Son finally retrieve it and offer it back to the forests spirit.
Resolution-While the forest spirit does die the forest grows back and lady Iboshi realizes her mistakes on how she handled everything. While the people of Iron town have greater respect for the forest and the animals within it, Son is moderately more accepting towards humans.
