Progress Made
This week I focused on strengthening the overall storyline of my project and expanding the background behind my DJ journey. I added several new sections to my StoryMap, including more detailed paragraphs that explain how I started, how my skills developed, and how my brand as “DJ Ro” has grown over time. I also worked on organizing the structure of the StoryMap so the narrative flows smoothly from my early beginnings to my more recent accomplishments. I began adding visuals such as flyers, photos, and location markers, and I laid the foundation for the interactive components of the project.
Challenges
One challenge I ran into was that I lost most of my old photos when I got a new phone, so gathering original media has been difficult. Because of that, I had to rely more on online images and recreated assets to visually support different parts of my story. Another challenge has been balancing the storytelling and design aspects, knowing what to write, how long to make each section, and where to place visuals as I build out the narrative.
What’s Left to Do
Next week, I plan to bring everything together by completing the interactive map, adding more story elements, and expanding the background within my ArcGIS StoryMap. I’ll finish uploading media, finalize the storyline, and complete the remaining structuring and formatting. My goal is to have a fully polished and complete StoryMap ready before the deadline.
