Note
I have separated the story document in ArcGIS into two drafts. This is only temporary, for the sake of catching up on more than one phase of Project 3.
Progress
I have added some more research to the story, which I added in text blurbs after the memories of each photo. I did this to provide information that readers might find fascinating, like facts about some of our local flowers.
I also tried my hand at some poetry to add something interesting to the document.
Lastly, I changed the transitions between sidecar slides to slow fade, because it reminded me of a Polaroid photo developing.
Challenges
I’d say the biggest struggle I had at this phase of drafting this project was creating the poems. It’s been a while since I’ve tried it, so it was tough to get those gears turning. They also seem a little bit out of place next to the narrative and informational blurbs, so I wonder how I can incorporate them into the text more smoothly in the final draft.
What’s Left To Do
Now that I have all these links compiled, I’m going to put them in MLA format in the final draft. I also want to tweak the document’s theme a little bit, and any feedback as to what I can change about it is welcome.
