Twine Final Story

If you want feedback, you will need to keep up with weekly Twine assignments and share with classmates. You can share the Twine “publish to file” HTML in Slack

Your final Twine story should include the following:

  1. Appropriate Title, and author name
  2. Excerpt (ie one line teaser) which you will use in your Tributaries post
  3. Featured image for Tributaries
  4. Styling of fonts & colors using  Backstage config settings, then pasting into Vars section of Start or other passages.
  5. Rich media–images, video, sound, etc that bring your story to life. The style of these images should be coherent throughout the story and should reflect story theme
  6. Appropriate twine code for some of the following (or similar features):
  7. At least two, and preferable many more possible endings
  8. Some use of Conditionals or Variables.

Publishing:

  1. Media: In order to use media, first upload it to the class website site or Youtube then get the absolute URL from the Media Library (or youtube), and use that in your Twine story.
  2. Use “Publish to File” In Twine to get the HTML for your story.
  3. Send me your html file, with the title as the file name (no caps/no spaces, eg “myawesomestory.html”) by dragging it into Slack as a direct message to me or using #twine channel.
  4. Create a post with an image that links to your uploaded html file which you will find in the media library after I upload it (It’s a security issue).
  5. Make sure you add an appropriate featured image as this is the visual that will draw the audience to your story. Size 1200X550, no larger than 500k.  Add an excerpt to the post (a one line teaser for your story). This is your professional publishing for an audience.
  6. I may request you to make edits to this even after grading so your project is more polished and professional if there are any typos, or other errors. You should be a able to then link to it for your own portfolio…
