For my beginning photo, I wanted to make this about places that feel like movement from one to the next. Though this photo isn’t the most transformative, it was one I took while moving through the woods on campus. I found the glimpse of light between the leaves its own doorway.

This second photo is one that I took on one of my first walks. There was this little patch of tall grass and ferns that felt like I was stepping into a serene meadow.

This photo is one I took on the campus gardens late at night. With the statue and the Torii being illuminated by the fog and the distant lights; the scene is otherworldly to me. This photo strongly reminds me of games/movies like Silent Hill, where the creators uses space and doorways as a metaphor for the change within the characters.

This final photo is of a doorway I found while exploring the gardens on MDI. I thought the light peeking behind the gate was very fascinating and I wanted to capture that feeling of mystery and intrigue.
