What I Saw and What I Missed:
I was careful when collecting my shots, and I feel as though I used strong if immature photographic techniques which I will hone over time. I do not, however, feel as though I have an innate sense of how to organise a page, and while the final product looks better than it did near the beginning, I feel as though some exploration into graphic design and layout concepts may serve me quite well.
I also regret my insufficiency in meeting the criteria of the project completely, as this focuses less than I would have liked on the principles of solar punk and permaculture as presented in the Ghibli movies. Though I am glad that I was able to document a place that truly did bear as much meaning to me as this one, and not wedge in meaning where it was not fostered.
Next time I do something like this I would like to be more experimental with it, similar to what Will Kim did. I also would like to make a more sleek and cohesive final piece, with relevant graphics, like Marion Martin.
