I’m from Rye NY, so I’ve included photos from the Rye Nature Center. I worked there as a conservationist throughout high school, and I know the trails like the back of my hand. I added two photos with animals, because my favorite part of working there was seeing them. Whenever I could, I’d pull invasive plants in the most remote spots, hoping to see new animals. Whenever I’m home, like this past weekend, I make sure to stop their at least once. even when I’m not working I can spend a whole day there. Often times when people hear I’m from New York, they immediately wonder what brought me to Maine, and I think my experience at the nature center can go a long way in explaining that.
