My first two photos were taken on my trip from Padang, Indonesia. These were from my first days there; this was my first time out of the country, so the places I visited there changed my perspective completely. I was able to experience a different culture and see the difference in ours.
My second set of images is from another place I visited this past spring in Ellsworth, Maine. This place is called Momo’s Cheesecakes, it’s open 24/7, and their selling process is completely based on the honor system. You can take as many different flavored cheesecakes as you want, as long as you remember to either Venmo them at the end or leave cash in their boxes. I’ve never seen a business with this type of setup before, and I thought it was a great way to show trust in the community and to spread sweet treats to all whenever they wish. Also, you can feel free to leave a tiny note or doodle on a sticky note to stick around their shop. This place matters to me because it’s one of my favorite places to visit before getting to Bar Harbor, and I visit it with my partner frequently.
