Community Engagement

Using one of the tools we have learned in class, or one of your own skills (photo capture, video capture, audio/interview, editing, etc) find a way to contribute to the community project for the class.  (Video capture, photos etc from Window dressers counts here)  If you have contributed media to the Window Dressers Googl Drive, 1)  add your name to the end of the filename:  IMG2031.CR2–> IMG2031_JohnDoe.CR2  2) Do a screen grad image of your list of files from the Google dive and use that in your post for this assignment, or copy/past all the file names into this post.

Or, if your Knight Lab class project was a success, you might consider adapting it for either of the communities above, or even a local community organization.  The goal is to link your skills to community needs, and consider community needs when honing your skills.  This is one possible non-corporate path to future employment.

Our two potential class-based community partners are Window Dressers, and Transportation for All.  Contact person is Christine Seibert, see her notes in Slack.
