Photo of a sign with some overgrown grass, part of the road is visible, more power lines can be seen, the sky is mostly covered with more blue-purple clouds.
Photo depicting a blue sky with some purple and pink clouds mainly focused on the left side of the photo, there is a road and next to it some grass and shrubs. there are power lines following the road.
Photo of some sort of tunnel on the left side, presumably filled with water, there are some metal structures overhead, there is a concrete wall with water flowing down part of it as well as some graffiti to the left of the water, the area is overgrown with fauna.
Photo of concrete covered in graffiti, image was taken low to the ground and there are some shrubs along the bottom of the concrete connecting to the ground, there is water falling in the top right corner.
Photo of some sort of wooden structure painted a forest green, in the middle of the structure there is a sign saying “DANGER OF DEATH NO TRESPASSING WATER INTAKE”, in the background there are some trees.
[idea is a journal log from someone who has survived the apocalypse and is the only one left, they are noting their surroundings as they travel in hopes of finding other human life, they are also looking for scrap materials]
The sun is starting to set so I figured I should find somewhere to stay for the night, I saw a sign and figured I’d follow it and hope that it took me somewhere I could find some shelter. It was my only hope as there seems to be nothing but the road for miles. I found some tunnel filled with water, I’m not sure where the water is going but I figured I should find out where it is coming from, hopefully it is drinkable. Much as I expected I haven’t encountered anyone else, but the graffitti seems relatively untouched so maybe I’m not the last one left. It’s a little overgrown but I didn’t reckon it would be well groomed all things considered. I climbed up the metal structure and found some sort of tower. I’m not sure what it is, but I reckon I should listen to the signs telling me to stay away from the water so I walked back down and drank some of the water flowing over the edge of the concrete, I think I might be able to stay here for a few days to explore and wash my clothes.

I like the graffiti and how it adds a pop of color to the photo alongside the green.
This is a very interesting story concept, the first one I’ve seen so far that isn’t autobiographical. I’m a sucker for a good post-apocalyptic tale, so I’ll be looking forward to seeing this one be developed further. These are some good shots of places that definitely look abandoned, and I especially like the second one with the big, empty road and telephone poles – a haunting reminder of past innovations gone to waste, journeys and memories that will never come to fruition. One adjustment I’d recommend is lowering the saturation on the photos just a bit, and maybe adding a little bit of grain, to add to the bleakness and make it feel like the character’s taking them on an old camera they scrounged up from the trash or a drawer in an empty house.
