My friends and I play a lot of competitive games together, from beer pong to Monopoly to video games to my personal favorite, Catan. I want to reflect on a specific time we played at my friend’s house, whom we hadn’t seen in a long time. I’ve also been watching a lot of Game of Thrones, so I want to put a bit of a historical spin on it.
I plan to take a simple story and make it much more interesting by exaggerating real events and creating a story. I want the readers to step into my mind and see how I like to imagine playing Catan, as I think getting lost in the world allows a safe space for competitive arguments with friends.
I am finding it difficult to make sure I am writing in the correct tense, so I repeatedly have to go back and double-check after every few paragraphs. Another issue is getting AI to take the images I have from my camera roll of this game and make it look like a historical painting to set the scene, without altering the original point of the image.
