For my project 3, I plan to create an interactive map highlighting 5-10 world-class XC ski areas across New England- possibly even just in Maine. This story map will show where each ski center is located and provide key details such as the styles of skiing they groom for (classic, skate, and is backcountry touring is available), total km/mi of trails, difficulty levels, and any standout features. My goal is to give skiers and outdoor enthusiasts an easy way to compare top destinations and discover new places to explore, since information about Nordic centers is often scattered across different sources.
