Updated Storyboard
- Situation : Peaceful environmental scenes of Maine’s natural beauty (birds, leaves, trees, small towns) show a balance of nature. Soft piano and added sound effects play as a narration speaks on our connection to our environment.
- Desire: A reminder to stop and appreciate your surroundings and to recognize how much we truly have around us each day.
- Conflict: Darkened tone with a shift to footage of the abandoned Rockland Dragon Cement limestone mine as well as yellow lichen on trees. A reveal of the effects that air pollution and human action have on the environment.
- Change: Mood shifts back to hopeful tone with a call to action for awareness and care. Scenes show positive bits of maine such as a sign about testing water quality.
- Result: The harmony between people and nature begins to heal as we watch geese walk softly under a willow tree and the music comes to a close. We hear the final call to action “When you protect nature, you protect yourself” and it fades to black.

I’m a little confused by the voice–doesnt sound like a Mainer–and also with the filter. It feels very old rather than forward looking, like it was found in my grandpa’s attic? Is this the effect you want?
How would it sound with a young girl’s voice? and less nostalgic filter?
The effect is interesting but it confuses me a bit, despite the clear craft in editing.
