I want my project to be the story of this tree I would always walk past. Before I had other ideas that just weren’t sticking, and this plan only came to my mind when i was taking a walk in the campus woods and I saw a stump that reminded me of this story. I want the beginning of the project to be a sweet animation that builds up to the cutting down of the tree. Then, I want to cut to this old footage of the stump, switching to video. I want the video to feel a little haunting, and a little empty.
But once the tree stump is somewhat ‘mourned’ over, it returns to the animation where sprouts and a sapling is formed from the old seeds of the tree.
