I was inspired by the mystical creatures in both movies; the forest spirit in Princess Mononoke and the ohm’s in Nausicaa. I think it would be pretty interesting to take a more fictional/ fantastical take on the project. I also really enjoyed the bright colors and sunlight shown in the Solarpunk video.
The Last of Us- How nature evolves to survive and how that affects humans
Avatar- How humans raised in a cyberpunk civilization and how they are still able to discover Solarpunk and live through those ideals.
Lost- Humans having to overcome nature as an obstacle while discovering strange things living on the island.
1. Situation
Scientists landing on a planet (somewhere in Maine)
2. Desire
Collect samples to discover things about the planet
3. Conflict
Weird Alien virus contacted through bite/ scratch etc affects the main character.
4. Change
Another character turns into some sort of zombie from the virus, first character runs off
5. Result
Both human characters die and its discovered the “virus” was actually the ecosystems way of defending itself and the humans turn into fertilizer to feed the planet.
For my video I want to use dramatic Camera angles, Lenses, and most likely some music and sound effects, or maybe even color grading.
