Project 1a – Frank Albert

First Story Location

This is an image from further down Stillwater river. We go around to the left and fish

This is a tucked away, cave type inlet. It is almost right behind where I took the first image. My friends and I have spent much time hanging around here.

This is one of the bridges that go right above the Orono Dam, also right near the area we fish

An image of the bridge itself at night.

All of these images where taken at an area behind my apartment at Orchard Trails. The bridge has old train tracks that run across, and there is a walked over trail through the trees and bushes which lead down to the rocks and water. If you follow the water down, you will come across the little cave in the third image. This whole location has served as a point of relaxation whether it is from school, work, or just in general. My friends and I have spent countless hours here fishing, talking, laughing and making memories. Being able to sit and hear nothing but the rushing water of the dam makes the area feel like it’s own world.

Second Story Location – Mont Tremblant Ski Resort

This is a picture from Le Edge, a whole section of the mountain known for its glade trails.

This was at the top of one of the lifts. I do not remember the name

This location is one I will never forget. My friends and I, along with the Ski and Snowboarding Club at UMaine, spent a week at Mont Tremblant in Quebec. I’ve had a passion for skiing ever since I started in high school, and being able to experience a resort like this was incredible. The conditions were the best I’ve ever skied in, with nearly a foot of fresh snow each day. Beyond the skiing, the resort community was welcoming and vibrant. The whole Ski and Snowboarding Club had free access to all nightlife events, allowing everyone to meet and strengthen friendships. I am very excited to say I will be going again this year!
