The first set of images I’ve chose is two of my favorite photos from the University of Maine. The first photo is of the Aurora Lights. My friend and I were driving home from Bangor last fall when the sky lit up with these lights. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing, this prompted us to pull over once getting back to Orono to take some photos of this amazing phenomena in the sky. This remains one of my favorite days at UMaine. The second of which is a much older photo from my freshman year. This photo was taken from the first home football game of the season and to me it means a lot. It was one of the first time I was appalled by the beauty that Orono has to offer and marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life that I’m glad to still be experiencing.
The third image is a very recent photo of my girlfriend and I on Toddy Pond in Surry this Summer. Her family recently got a pontoon boat and offered to take me out on the boat with them on a Saturday this summer. Her and I both love to fish however she does not like to touch said fish, resulting in the photo above of me “showing” her my fish I just caught. Her Mom took this photo and sent it to me later and is hands down one of my favorite photos of us as it captures how we both love to have fun.
The final set of images is from Tampa, Florida. My friends and I from college took a trip to Tampa this summer as a break from all of our summer jobs we have and life in general. The five days that we spent down there are some of my favorite days. The first photo is a view from our hotel room that I took with a disposable camera filter. The second photo is a view we saw when walking from our hotel to a restaurant to have dinner. I rarely get to travel and this trip truly is one of my favorite moments in my life.
