Calvin lays down for rest and falls to sleep immediately.

Two security guards are in his peripheral vision. The first thing that standsout to Calvin is that he can't discern any details from their faces. Their heads were covered in a blackened shadow of sorts. A voice shouts from the man in the suit, "YOU KNOW TOO MUCH!" before he trails off as the scenario seems to lose focus for a few moments. As it refocuses, the two security guards apprehend Calvin and knock him unconcious. Right before Calvin's conciousness fades, he notices a distinct tattoo of an [[eye->eye]] on one of the guard's wrist. Calvin abruptly wakes up from his sleep.

"Our Leader, Wolf, has been away at another base for the last month. His orders are relayed to the Intelligence Branch, then to us." Sasha explains. Calvin speaks up, "Its nice that I dont have to risk my life for food and supplies." Sasha looks over,"It's a miracle you survived as long as you did".

Calvin responds with a confusion look. "We can lure Father out by broadcasting city-wide that we will give you up willingly, only if he shows up personally" John theorizes with a oddly positive look on his face. Calvin nods, thinking that this could be a good way to end this game of cat and mouse. "Don't worry about laying the trap, I'll cover that. I'll need two days".

Two days pass, Calvin wonders if he should tell the other rebels about this plan.
Waking up, Calvin notices a note on his cot, it reads,
"Meet me at the subway entrance on 33rd Street.
-John"
As Calvin prepares for whats ahead, a twinge of uncertainty brews in his mind. What has John done to deserve this much trust? Expecting him to leave the safety of the base. Asking him to put his life on the line for such a risky plan? Calvin ponders his next move, but ultimately decides to follow through with what they planned.
Calvin sets out for the subway, realizing that its the same subway he used to live in.
[[Continue->Ending 1]]As Calvin arrives to the subway, narrowly escaping detection along the way by police roaming about. He notices that John is no where to be found. Venturing further into the darkness of the subway, Calvin calls out,"John?! John?! Are you there?" Silence permeates in the air, only the occasional rumbling of transport vehicle is heard. As he heads down a flight of stairs, Calvin hears a familiar voice behind him. "Calvin, you really thought you stood a chance against us?" Spinning on his heels, Calvin looks up and lays eyes on John. John, dressed in tight military uniform, stared down on Calvin with a menacing glint in his eyes. "I can't believe you actually came alone... I brought backup just in case." With a wave of his hand, Calvin noticed that familiar eye tattoo on John's wrist and instantly made the connection to his dream. In that instant, a dozen of police officers swarmed Calvin, bringing him to his knees. Calvin yells,"JOHN! YOU'VE BEEN WORKING FOR HIM THIS WHOLE TIME?" John smirks before looking away, as he walks away from the scene, he taunts, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." Calvin's conciousness fades as he experiences blunt force to the side of his head.

As Calvin prepares for whats ahead, He shares the location with the rebels. Together, they head out to 33rd Street. They decide to travel via the subway tunnel, as its much safer and provides the element of surprise. As they make way to the subway, Calvin realizes this is where he used to live.
[[Continue->Ending Chapter1]]As Calvin and the rebels made way to 33rd Street, Calvin notices that there are far more police patroling outside. Since they traveled by the subway tunnels, they had avoided conflict up to this point. Venturing ahead of the group, Calvin knew these tunnels quite well. Light shone down a flight of stairs ahead of them, Calvin notices a silhouette walking down the stairs. Calvin signals the rebels to hide, to keep the element of surprise. This could be their moment. Calvin rounds the corner and comes face to face with John. He's wearing a military outfit of some kind, he's also alone and caught off guard. "Calvin! Ohh I wasn't expecting you to come from the subway tunnels..." Composing himself, he dons a menacing look as he reveals that Calvin was right,"It was foolish of you to come alone, you really thought you could deal with Father that easily?" As he raises his arm to call for police, Calvin was quicker to signal the rebels to spring to action. John was shocked, as he was instantly subdued by the rebels. He cried out,"Calvin, how did you know?!" Calvin reached out and grabbed John's wrist, revealing the eye tattoo he assumed would be there. John had been working for Father the whole time...
[[Continue->Part 2-1]]Several weeks pass
Still reeling from John's betrayal, Calvin distracts himself by helping the rebels in their tasks. Calvin and Sasha have become closer as a result of what had transpired. Sasha eventually rips the bandaid off and talks with Calvin about whats bothering him. They confide in each other and share a moment of weakness as they attempt to move on.
Motivated to keep going forward, Calvin inquires the Intelligence branch for any new related to Father. They return to him with nothing aside from more apparent increased patrols searching. They then reveal that they are not just looking for Calvin anymore, but also the rebels as a whole.
[[Continue->Part 2-2]]Calvin began to wonder what was going on in that building, and why it had such an odd appearance. Was it some prison? Perhaps it was a testing facility, though he hated to think of what they might be doing to his comrades in there. Whatever the case was, it was bad news and he needed to get to the bottom of it. He figured he should talk to Sasha about it before he made any decisions.
[[Continue->Part 2-4]]"Are you crazy?!?" Sasha scolded Calvin, "Do you have idea how dangerous that could be? especially if its just us? This is a bad idea, and you know it!" "I know I know, But we've got to find out whats going on over there. We owe it to our comrades. If we go, just the two of us, we'll lower the risk of others getting caught!" Calvin fails to get Sasha on board with the expedition, so he decides he'll go in the morning, alone.

Calvin experiences another odd dream that night. In his dreamscape, he finds himself surrounded on all 4 sides by cold, featureless concrete walls. He's strapped to a chair, one that might be seemly would not be uncommon in a dentists office. As the dream loses focus for a short moment, a previously unnoticeable slab of concrete slides into the floor revealing 3 hooded figures. As they walk into the room, Calvin listens as one mutters to the other a short phrase in a language he cannot understand. As they approach Calvin, they split up, until they surround him. Low chanting begins to eminate from the cloaked figures, and Calvin's vision begins to transform into a blinding white light.
Calvin wakes up from his dream with a headache. Slightly disoriented, he wonders to himself, "Why do my dreams feel so real? What if they are trying to tell me something..." Pushing the thoughts to the side, Calvin starts preparing for his expedition.
[[Continue->Part 2-6]]{embed image: 'https://umainenewmedia.net/nmd443/wp-content/uploads/Default_Massive_featureless_Brutalist_Concrete_structure_in_a_0.jpg'}
Sneaking through one of the thousands of back alley's in the city, Calvin finally gets an unobstructed view of the concrete complex. Its intimidating appearance stares back at him. A bead of sweat rolls down his forehead, he hadn't really thought through what he was gonna do. He'd assumed a disguise as a police man he had taken down on the way there, So he assumed getting in would be easy, but he couldn't shake the feeling that it wouldn't be.
As he walked up to the entrance, his heart rate increased, "No turning back..." He said to himself. Falling in line with another group entering the building, he noticed that every other police man around him had a badge sewn into their clothing. Looking down at his own badge, it read,"E-2431". "Must be their names. Stripped of their humanity it seems/" Calvin thought to himself.
[[Continue->Part 2-7]]{embed image: 'https://umainenewmedia.net/nmd443/wp-content/uploads/Default_cold_narrow_concrete_hallways_sterile_2.jpg'}
Calvin finds himself wandering the mass of hallways in the complex. The concrete walls, tiled floor, and sterile air was all he saw for what felt like hours. However, just as he was starting to think he was walking in circles, an unpleasant smell filled Calvin's nostrils. He comes across a multiple rooms, each room seemly containing at least two dozen jail cells. Some packed with prisoners and others completely empty. Most disturbing of all though, Calvin could've sworn he saw motionless bodies in some of the cells as well. Either them being asleep, unconcious, or dead he wasn't sure. Part of Calvin's mind told him to go ask the prisoners about his comrades, though he quickly shut that idea down, fearing that could just as easily get himself caught.
[[Continue->Part 2-8]]{embed image: 'https://umainenewmedia.net/nmd443/wp-content/uploads/Default_Cold_concrete_room_with_a_patients_chair_in_the_middle_0.jpg'}
Now past the jail cells, Calvin found himself in a corridor of windows, each one seemly peering into a square featureless room, aside from a patients chair in the middle of the room. Calvin's eyes widen when he realizes that its the same setup from the dream he had. Venturing further, he picked up faint chanting further down the corridor.
As he drew closer, the chanting stops. Calvin peeks into the room, its complete replication of every other room he's seen in the corridor. Thats where the similiarities end however, He lays his eyes on 3 cloaked figures surrounding the chair in the center of the room. An orange clothed prisoner lies on the chair, their eyes completely glazed over like marbles. Calvin's legs start moving on their own, running through the halls. He's unable to comprehend what he just saw, His dream seemingly coming to life was more than just weird, worse than that though, he could only assume that they were brainwashing prisoners, for what purpose though?
[[Continue->Part 2-9]]Composing himself again, Calvin finds himself no longer in the corrider of windows. Surveying his surroundings, he sees many doors, all shut and locked, no surprise there. Wandering further down the twists and turns of the hallways, He comes across a open door, seemingly left open for him. Calvin draws closer to the door and walks into in the room. The air is stale and feels like it hasn't be disturbed in a long time. Like most other rooms in the complex, the ever present concrete walls were no surprise to him. Though this room seemed like a office space of sorts. A desk, with a computer, printer, and monitor sat in front of him, with chairs for 3 people.
Calvin notices the light spilling from the monitor. Letting his intrigue get the better of him, Calvin walks around the desk to get a better view at the monitor. His eyes lock on to a webpage looking like a database.
[[Continue->Part 2-10]]Calvin does his best to navigate the database. He eventually comes across plans for the complex he was in. As he reads, his worst fears are confirmed in that they are brainwashing captured rebels and criminals into working for their cause. While processing this information, Calvin also realizes he might be on limited time, Father couldn't be obviously to his actions at this point, snooping around their files must have raised some alarms. Calvin frantically searches for the oldest entry on the database. As he finds it, and begins reading, his whole perception of what he's been going through falls down. As sirens begin blaring out across the complex, Calvin struggles with the reality that Father was never real. as Calvin roams the halls of the compound, he listens in on a conversation from two rebels walking past him. One mentions to the other that they lost another comrade today, he was snatched by one of the patrols, and driven away towards a recently constructed complex in the area. Calvin recognized the building they were talking about, it stood out like a sore thumb. Unlike the rest of the normal city landscape, this new one was simplistic but harsh in its design, lacking outside features such as windows. Just a brutalist concrete complex with many police men exiting the building. Calvin was intrigued, as he believed he might have an idea of where to investigate.
