I have a few ideas for my story this semester. I could continue some aspects to my story last semester, and write more about Brenna’s relationship with her father like I originally intended and the effect of that on her relationship with Derrick. The only thing stopping me from doing that is how much I struggled writing the first version because it was so hard not to avoid stereotypes. For the plot I’m thinking maybe Brenna’s father finally pieces together Derricks relationship to his father and that causes trouble within Brenna’s relationship with her family, or potentially having Derrick and Brenna get engaged and talk about the feud within the two merging families.
Brenna is around five-foot ten, she’s got golden blonde hair with warm green eyes. She works for a fashion magazine, and moved to New York to find the best opportunities and to get the heck away from home. She’s now navigating a relationship with her friend turned lover Derrick, and she’s left in the ruminates of a dying feud with her cousin as well as coming to terms with being proud of herself. Brenna’s internal battle between striving for success in the eyes of her father and also accepting that she very likely won’t get that love and affection she wants are what drives her actions and self discovery.
