Task 1 – Fox Gleason

Something I regret…

I’ve had a lot of online friends, and I’m of the belief that online friends are no different from friends made in person. That being said, I wish I had used my time in high school and college more to make more friends. The idea of having friends over to hangout sounds very nice. That being said, I always felt I had different interests than most people around me, so making new connections was always a struggle.

As I said before though, I’ve always felt that online friends are no different than friends made in person. The ability to find other people who share similar interests with you across the globe is very enticing for sure. Though, there is something missing with a pure online friendship, and its hard to know what it is until you actually meet up. I’m lucky to have had to chance to meet up with some online friends, though I’ve always felt our time has been cut too short when we eventually have to go separate ways.

I think the Covid Pandemic also heavily affected outlook on this subject as well, though that is something that was completely out of my control. Overall though, I feel like I was born and raised in the wrong location…
