Princess Mononoke<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main point that stuck out to me during the Princess Mononoke trailer, was emphasis on the human\/nature interaction and the importance of coexistence. The difference between viewpoints within the villages and settings in the story shape the characters story.<\/p>\n

Nausicaa of the Valley<\/strong><\/p>\n

The settings and locations in this story are their own characters in a way, who both drive the plot as well as create the central conflict.<\/p>\n

Solarpunk<\/strong><\/p>\n

This art movement and esthetic provides an optimistic view of how our world could look like if we were an action oriented planet that focuses on sustainability and community engagement and empowerment.<\/p>\n

Filming With iPhone Tips:<\/p>\n

I think I will want to use more camera movement to be able to capture more lively aspects of the area. I am thinking of using time lapse as well while I am walking to the spot in order to get the whole beginning of the story. I will also use slow motion in order for the audience to take in more of what is being shown. I believe this will help as I am planning on going back to my original spot from Project 1, which has rushing waters and a lot of movement. I will also experiment with lower angle, moving shots and editing with filters and others<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Situation, Desire, Conflict, Change, Result:<\/p>\n

Situation:<\/strong> The river beneath the bridge is alive with running waters, a place where people come to fish, just as they have for generations.<\/p>\n

Desire:<\/strong> A fisherman seeks a catch, but more than that, seeks connection with the river, patience, and sustenance.<\/p>\n

Conflict:<\/strong> Initially the path is easy and peaceful. Once arriving, you face rough rocks, slippery steps, tangled lines, rushing water. The river tests your balance, patience, and persistence.<\/p>\n

Change:<\/strong> By slowing down, respecting the space, and adapting, you begin to move in rhythm with the river. Fishing becomes less about catching and more about listening.<\/p>\n

Result:<\/strong> Whether or not you catch a fish, you gain something deeper, an understanding of resilience, of harmony with the river, and of the ongoing relationship between humans and nature in Maine.<\/p>\n
